Neighbours Incidental Music Mid90's-Early00's

Hi folks,

I've been getting really nostalgic for oldschool Neighbours lately.

I'll be honest and say I don't watch the show these days and haven't for many years, probably around 2004/2005 when I stopped watching. But it was one of my favourite shows for many years, and I fondly recall looking forward to watching Neighbours after a day at school more than most other things.

Anyway, to the matter at hand. I'm trying to find a piece of incidental music that was used for quite some time back in the mid 90's - Early/Mid 00's. It was a lovely little piece of music that I wouldn't call sad, but I recall being used in moments of sadness and reflection. One scene I'm sure it was used in was when Joel Samuels helps Anne Wilkinson from her car after she ends up in a riverbank, but then the car slides and traps Joel in the water as the water rises due to storms, but I can't find this scene anywhere, though this would have been episodes 3220 and 3221 ('98 Finale and '99 Return).

I don't recall there being specific lyrics other than it was a woman's voice going something like Ohhhhh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh Ohhhhhh, Ooo Ooo Oooooooooo Ooooo. The music itself was possibly on a piano and the bit before the lady sings comes over as single notes, nothing overly fancy. Best way I could describe it would be that it went like this:

Code: Select all

Dun Dun               Dun Dun               Dun Dun              Dun Dun
                  Dun                    Dun                    Dun                    Dun
Dun                   Dun                    Dun                    Dun                    Dunnnnn... then the lady's sounds

It was a really lovely piece of music and whenever I think of Neighbours or something makes me think of it this is one of the very first things I think of.

I'm not expecting anyone to know what I'm on about, just would be great to find the piece of music which has to be an in-house piece of incidental music as it really is lovely, and would be great to hear it properly after all these years.

Anyway, back to listening to the original Barry Crocker version of the Neighbours Theme Tune and the third version by Greg Hind on loop on Youtube!

Hi project90

As I say, it doesn't really have any lyrics that I recall other than the lady humming, and is not a jaunty tune tune like the first you posted. It isn't sombre either, but more reflective.

I had already had a look on the neighbours episode site at the particular episode and the only music listed was 'Lie' by Tim Watson, but I absolutely can not find this track anywhere to rither rule it out or to find it is the right track.

It has to have been an in-house piece of music so likely only a minute long, not one of the 4 minute tracks that would have played in the coffee shop or anything like that.

EDIT: See you've added another 2 to your post, thanks, but sadly neither are the one I'm after. Had already found them in my earlier searches, and I just don't think it is going to be findable tbh. Certainly can't find it on Youtube with using all possible searches I can think to use.

Seeing as not exactly sure of song you looking for (wasn't watching in 99/2000) my chances of helping where pretty slim but gave it a crack. Good luck and do post it in here if you find it :)
